the awesome cover image was done by *Julie-de-Waroquierand i wrote this poem two weeks ago. i myself didn't like it all that much but it felt unfair to leave my beautiful readers without a piece from me while i waited for inspiration.
This reminds me of the book by Ellen Hopkins that is entitled "Perfect" though to be brutally honest that book didn't really do it for me. This actually addresses the issue of people striving perfection but feeling empty and secretly cracking on the inside without it sounding whiny (which to be honest is what Hopkins's book felt to me. Tell me again how much it sucks to have a gay brother and parents that are never home. It's not like it hasn't been written about in her last few books... ) .
